In search of a new heart.

Our hearts needs constant evaluation and purification.

A term colloqiually phrased as Tazkiyyah and Muhasabah.

More often than not, we make mistakes.

Sometimes, we make them too often, it becomes a habit.

Thus, after it becomes habitual, we tend to believe that it's not something wrong. That it has become a part of us. That it has integrated in our daily life. That we are trying to defend it rather than getting rid of it.

Problems become too usual for us, we tend to forget that they are actually problems. And there it is!

The root of all the problem.

The heart or in this case, our Qalbu.

Is has become desensitized to ugly deeds. Is has lessened it's ability to detect harmful doings. It has become accustomed to making sins. And there it is!

Emerges another new problem.

Sins becoming habitual.

May Allah show us a straight path and may we always and forever be on the side of Iman. On the tip of the scales, more leverage on the right side. The al-haq side.

Allahu muqqalibal qulub, thabbit qalbi ala deenik. O mover (or flip-flopper) of hearts, make my heart firm upon your religion

p/s: i can easliy debate on how scientifically this hadeeth can be proven, but i lack the enthusiasm tu persuade and make people see the truth at this moment. For to those who are of the mu'minin. They do not need proof to the rightousness of an ayah or a surah or a hadeeth. They should easily believe that all the syariah that Allah has sent down to us in the quran, has all the merit, goodness and benefit in the world. He is All-knowing. Is He not?
